Returning to Work - From Mr. Fullen
All employees should report to their campus or job location Thursday and Friday, Sept. 25-26. Classes will resume for all students Monday, September 29. The following statement will be released to the community this afternoon. Feel free to share this information with anyone who asks.
“Pasadena ISD expects power to be restored and all major repairs completed by Friday, Sept. 26. Classes will resume for all students on Monday, Sept. 29.”
All SHHS personnel should report to the school by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. We will begin with a brief meeting in the Reinartz center. Afterward, you will be released to work in your rooms in preparation for the return of students on Monday. Please dress comfortably and casually and come prepared to help one another in readying your rooms and office areas. Our custodians have been working round-the-clock to remove debris and carpet, and crews have been replacing windows and making other repairs. Still, there is a very real possibility that desks and furniture have been moved and will need to be reorganized prior to Monday.
Additionally, you may notice items that are still in need of repair and our opening meeting on Thursday will outline details on how to report those needed repairs. More information regarding reporting of grades will also be shared at our Thursday meeting. The intent is for Thursday to be used for general cleaning and organization, and for Friday to be used to plan and enter curriculum on Eduphoria and make other necessary adjustments for the return of our students.
If you are aware of staff members still without power of email access, please share this information with them. If you are unable to be here on Thursday, please notify your supervisor or PDAS administrator. Information may be made in the comments section of this blog, but this is not a substitute for contacting your administrator in person.
